FAQs

What is expected of me in therapy?

Your decision to participate in therapy is your own. It’s brave and maybe a little scary. I want to be transparent about my expectations. I expect you to be who you are, where you are in the moment. This time is yours, dedicated to providing space for you to improve and heal you.

What is it like to work with you?

I tailor treatment to your needs and therapy goals. Honesty, faith, transparency, compassion and authenticity. Sessions are focused on meeting you where you are and helping you progress towards your goals. We will regularly check-in, update and adjust plans as you progress. I use a combination of movement, exercises, worksheets, symptom assessments and self assessments to aid in monitoring and increasing skill sets.

How do we maintain confidentiality virtually?

I use HIPAA-compliant telehealth software. If we decide to work together, we will discuss in detail confidentiality compliance, mandatory reporting and safety laws.

What do I need for teletherapy?

An internet connection that is stable (preferably, with minimal to no dropping or interruptions), smart phone, tablet or computer with a camera or webcam capability. The device should have a microphone or capability to connect to headphones or microphone. A private space where you can participate in your session alone.
